Sarah Palin is a Real Person

Sarah Palin is a real person. We all have chilldren. Everyone at one time or another has some type of issue regarding our children. It may be something small, like failing a class, or it may be a major life changing event, such as a DUI, flunking out of college and yes, an unplanned pregnancy. The situation with her daughter does  not involve the media, the Republicans, the Democrats or me or you. It is a matter that Sarah and Todd Palin, their daughter and the father of the child have to deal with. I appreciate the fact it is not an easy thing to deal with, especially at this time where Mrs. Palin is on the brink of  changing history as the first female Vice President of the United States.

I  applaud Bristol for her decision to keep her child and to MARRY the father of the baby. Unlike the majority of this country who somehow feels it is ok to have children without taking responsibility for thier actions, this young girl is stepping up and doing what is in her mind the best thing for her child. It happens every day, but we are so used to our young people just having children without getting married, or worse yet aborting a child, that we are making this family matter a major headline. Hollywood glamorizes single parenting making it seem like such an easy thing. The Democratic bloggers and columnist's are having a field day attacking this family.

I don't feel like a lot of politicians have the courage to let anyone know what really happens in their life. We get the Hollywood version. I am very sure this is not the first time a politician's child has been in this situation. I am also sure that we would never know. Sweep it under the rug. I think they are very good at that. The very fact that this situation has been brought to media attention somehow makes me feel stronger about Sarah Palin. I am very happy with Mr. McCain's choice for VP. She is a real person, a real mom with real issues. She will look at the issues facing this country with a real perspective. Not the perfect manufactured course Mr. Obama promises.

I have lived in Illinois all my life. I feel closer to Sarah Palin than to Mr. Obama, Senator from Illinois. I don't see what Mr. Obama has done for me as a Citizen of Illinois. He tells us he has done much for me. I am not really sure he even understands the issues I face every day. I don't know who Mr. Obama is nor does he know who I am.

Sarah Palin does not know my name, but, somehow I feel that Sarah Palin does know who I am.
